it’s the leftist open border policy, and it’s only democrat politicians that openly say “we need the migrants to work on our farms and clean our houses”, I find that a disgusting thing to say. I would say it’s not a Yankee problem, it’s a democrat problem, but most democrats are Yankees, so maybe it really is a Yankee problem.
The US really has two right wing parties, one liberal and one conservative. The only US left-wing party I know of is the CPUSA
