I can say with fair confidence that I have cured my post COVID constipation problem. It was so bad I ended up in the ER two days in a row in Puerto Rico.
All dietary changes failed. They would work for a few days. Once maybe a week.
The Dogfish Shark had the answer.
A big thanks to friend R.K. for bringing the molecule Trodusquemine to my attention!! I then found a related molecule Squalamine. Both are found in the Dogfish shark liver.
Squalamine had shown promise in treating intractable constipation in clinical trials.
Procedure
I made a solution of squalamine lactate (the lactate form is what is available, the pure form is difficult to filter and not a stock item)
25g H2O + 35mg SqL makes a nice solution that can be taken on the tongue. I started with 1 drop to avoid death. After a few days I increased to two drops. Now I'm up to ten drops per day and have had no ill effects. Only good effects!! I have about a week more to reach one month of treatment and I have already resolved the problem.
How long will it last etc. I don't know yet. I will post through time. But I feel cured.
My system is working well with transit times of 24 hours. Sometimes more and sometimes less.
The only downside is the cost. Around $20 per mg. And you need about 100mg for a full trearment. So about $2000. Maybe the cost will come down if market demand happens.
