If it's so easily disproven, why does it persist, and the self-proclaimed experts always back out of or simply refuse debates? There is only one side of these 'conspiracies' that is afraid of debating it, and it isn't the conspiracy theorists.
For example, there is no exclusive evidence for claims such as the motion of the earth, or that it orbits the sun. That is why relativity was proposed, since they failed to demonstrate their claims through experiments. Yet most people still think the Newtonian version of 'gravity' is still the prevailing theory. Most people don't even examine what they believe, and when they do so without bias, they tend to become proponents of 'crazy' ideas like a geocentric stationery Earth.
These are essentially philosophical arguments, nothing based on hard data. It is a belief system, a religion if you will.
