I seriously think that in these times when we try to incentivise bike commuting in the cities the traditional roadster bike style and the coaster brakes are due for a comeback.
In my opinion they are more fit for this purpose than the gravel and mountain bikes we now see everywhere with their long their easy maintenance, their long spread and low center of gravity. Their only issue maybe is that they are a bit longer than other bikes which makes them harder to store in an apartment and maybe also explains why they are most successful in cities with a long established bike culture where people leave their bikes in the streets anyway with no fear of it getting robbed.
