npub1v2sycpx32th4h4aude3jq4g0kgj0p2t5062059l0fx0vcn8njs8spcmqq5 (npub1v2s…mqq5) Just a few miles east of the bus incident, in Martindale, a jury sentenced Terry Turner to 6 months in prison for manslaughter after he shot and killed a Moroccan immigrant, Adil Dghoughi, who was unarmed and merely turning his car around in Turner’s driveway at night.

Governor Abbott, who rarely pardons anyone, pardoned Daniel Perry who was convicted of murdering a BLM protester, Garrett Foster, in Austin and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Both had guns, but Perry drew his and fired first after initiating the confrontation by driving his car into a BLM protest.

A hung jury exonerated an Austin police officer, Christopher Taylor, after he shot and killed unarmed Mike Ramos who tried to drive away from a scene. Taylor will not be retried for that killing though he is currently on trial for deadly conduct after killing Mauris DeSilva, PhD who was in the midst of a mental health crisis and armed with a knife.

That’s frontier justice in Texas. You can easily find the news stories of these cases with a Google search.
