#GM. Woke up earlier than I'd have liked, thanks to the dog, and couldn't get back to sleep -- gotta figure out a way to resolve her need to go outside at 2:30 am... After a time trying to get back to sleep though I did decide to read for a bit, and finally finished Ubik, one of the 6 or so books I've been in the middle of. Seems I start a lot more books than I finish as of late, which I guess is better than not reading at all, but it's a weird way to do things. Fighting the urge to crack Hyperion or the Mistborn books until I trim at least one or two more off that I'm partway through, at least on the novel side of things.
Was going to make some liver and onions for breakfast but realized I don't have enough milk to soak it in out in the kitchen; got the backup milk in the kid's minifridge, which will have to wait until after he's awake. Haven't had it before, but the store didn't have any kidneys or heart, and figured I'd give it a shot. The even more exciting thing though was the suet they had big packages of; gonna render some down into tallow today and finally have a half decent supply around.
Glad I didn't have anything too involved planned today as I can tell it'll be one of those half awake days due to the sleep shenanigans -- might need to catch a nap later, but for now, I should probably go make some eggs at least and have my morning mud water.
