When does AI cross the line between helpful tool and problematic tech?
When are they getting to the helpful tool part?
I'd love a smart language model that could help, say, analyse the voice of each character and highlight dialog where it's inconsistent, or do renaming/regendering that avoids stupid text substitutions.
But that's not what the LLM industry is interested in. They want to stripmine humanity's words and leave the literary equivalent of microplastics.
