What I'm just now grasping with the Carnot cycle is that the source of high pressure must come from heat *by definition*. If you already had a pressure differential, you could of course use that to perform work, but the Carnot cycle would not be relevant.
Still need to strengthen my understanding of the max efficiency derived from this model.
