Ok read it more carefully, according to this letter, there is a planet that was destroyed in a cosmic explosion that could have sent us instructions for weapons more powerful than nuclear bombs that would have prevented WWII. If only we'd had lots of radio telescopes back in the 1920s. I'm...not really sure what I'm supposed to do with this information. But I would totally read that alternate-history scifi novel!
