The natural right of choice
“The right of choice refers to the freedom to choose between different courses of action, provided that these decisions do not contradict the rights of others.”
You should always look at what politicians do, not what they say. That said, the positive part of what Trump is doing with memecoins is the message he is sending to the SEC, people's private business is not your problem, maybe I am reading it wrong, but that is what I would like to read from this situation.
And why is this a good thing? Just like you and I are not the center of the universe, Bitcoin is not the center of the universe either, people to be free need the right of choice and regulations remove the right of choice.
In a world without regulations maybe the number of people scammed will increase, but this metric is very relative, in a perfect anarcho-capitalist system you are the one responsible for being scammed or not, you will always have freedom of choice, in a democracy you don't have the right of choice, the state will always scam you, the state will always steal from you without you being able to do anything.
Now knowing this, let's recalculate the metric, currently about 8000 million humans are swindled by the states, that is, practically 100% of the inhabitants of planet earth, do you think we could reach this level of swindling in an anarcho-capitalist system? I doubt it very much.
Trump has simply chosen the wrong side, but it has its good side, at least as a reflection.
