I see, you surely like to think people who think differently are below you. Which is not nice nor righteous.
But ok, i go with you the steps.
First i see you never even tried to understand or read Jesus.
Jesus, therefore Christianity is there to fill the gaps and misunderstanding about the Old Testament.
He surly condemns men who abuse their wives. As you would read in Sermon on the mount.
It’s funny that you say, use your brain. Because the bible is not there to follow blindly or say it’s THE RULEBOOK. It’s more about bringing people to think.
But you wouldn’t probably agree.
You have to first want to study the Bible, even if you are not religious.
So this part should clarify up until
Ephesians.
Slaves were a normal occurrence in this part of the world in that part of time.
And it’s not really condemned in the bible if you read it just like that.
Yet this has also more depth.
And this is not me saying slavery is good or they didn’t mean it like that.
Rather in this system, even if you are in that unfortunate position, being a slave, it doesn’t give you the right to do what is sinful.
It’s hard to understand today what that means in end, in that time of slavery, but if you follow Jesus, you will find salvation, even though hard times like this.
I know, it’s maybe laughable for you, reading this. But i see you as someone with the same value as everyone else. No more, no less. I rather have a genuine discussion than everything else.
But do not make the mistake and think i am blind. I was not always like this. Rather i came here, because it teaches you how to treat people in the right, respectful and honorable way.
