Well, that's two weeks sobriety under my belt, but it's a hollow, belated victory, and when you quit a vice, not so much through love of virtue, but rather the fear of punishment... well, either case, the result is the same. When I drink alcohol these days, I feel bloated, look yellow, feel tired, remorseful, depressed ...and do I imagine that continuing to drink will reverse those sure signs of immanent destruction? Quite the contrary... Cut my losses, I have.
