Regarding Connect:
I'm not a fan from this launcher, too but you need to be logged in in other Launchers as Steam too if you want to play Steam Games.
Regarding the Mission:
We don't how big the Mission will be. Most likely it will be a little side Mission which don't have story impact. So if the Mission is big and story relevant then i agree that Ubi needs to critized for that.
But until the release we don't know for sure what this mission will be.
