Just adding more priors to the sniff test. Look any ecological or environmental data, it is wildly noisy. Scientists can find significant trends but explanatory power of the relationships they examine are usually very poor. In summary, nature is a wild beast that is hard to control, predict and also measure. As for the clouding of the skies via jets... If these are indeed aerosols of various chemicals, the sunsets and sunrises would be getting more brilliant due to scattering light effects. I don't see evidence of this and no one seems to talk about it...
