I remember someone describing nostr to me early on, and I was like "Why doesn't it have deterministic key generation, expiration, and invalidation? You are tying your identity, reputation, and entire social graph to a small piece of information you keep on your phone, and you have to rebuild all of that if that information is ever leaked or lost."
