12 years ago I first encountered
https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/1349080, an issue that made some #Drupal 7 content not appear for certain users. I spent several days diagnosing and coming up with a fix, several weeks advocating for the correct solution.
And this week, that fix finally got committed to core, to be released in 10.3.0!
