Biden says it's on Hamas because they won't agree to release "sick and elderly" hostages. But it turns out that what Hamas is asking for is a process to end the war. Gee, they don't want to release any more hostages with no path to actually ending the war? What a surprise! Would you give up your only leverage against a far more powerful adversary with no end in sight to their attacks?
Why isn't Israel willing to negotiate a path to ending the war? Could it be because they know their end goal would be unacceptable to Hamas, and probably to most of the rest of the world as well?
