Meta is relocating their Trust and Safety teams to Texas. Considering the state’s restrictive laws on reproductive rights & gender-affirming care, this seems like an easy way to remove women & trans folks from the moderation team.
Zuck says the move is to remove "concern about the bias of our teams." However, TX ranks second in the U.S. for censored books (behind Florida) and attempted to ban drag shows in 2023. IF perceptions of bias are an issue, why pick a state with such heavy censorship?
