Final pontoon cruise under a grey November sky to pull my old pontoon boat out for the winter. The last 12 months have been rough for my wife and I — full of disease and death and exhaustion and sorrow. There was some good and some beauty mixed in, too. But we are ground down by it all.
Winter can be a season of rest and recovery in the darkness. I’m hoping that is the case this year.
