Take a little break for lunch today, we’re having some leftover braised pork from last night and shrimp tempura, which I turned into Choo Chee Goong (ฉู่ฉี่กุ้ง)—a rich, thick, aromatic red curry dish. We’re also having some crispy fried eggs on side. I cut up some fruits this morning for our afternoon refreshments/palate cleanser.

quoting nevent1q…g5sgI’m making Mhoo Hong (หมูฮ้อง) tonight; a traditional Southern Thai dish, especially popular in Phuket. Unlike many Thai dishes, this one isn’t spicy but has a deep, aromatic flavor, inspired by Chinese red-braised pork.
I also made some curry fish cakes and shrimp tempura to round out the meal.
