So, if things in the U.S. ever get really bad, really fast, I can totally get anyone across the desert or mountains, across the border wall and into Mexico. We might have to pay the cartels to let us cross, but I know ways around them too if you're in good enough shape to hike or climb.

This is a weird side benefit of spending lots of time documenting the border area.

Crossing into Canada is easier than Mexico, except in winter. You won't have to pay cartels once in Canada (afaik). In summer it's literally a stroll, in the right places but you'd need to evade U.S. cops looking for refugees trying to leave.

But, you know what's really fucked up? I'm not even joking or being paranoid about this.
