The inner city I lived in 30 years ago was already like this.
Huge fuck-off illegal Chinese fireworks toted over kids' shoulders and fired horizontally down the street like fucking mortar fire.
If the emergency services were called, they'd be fired at them.
(This was the sort of area where the kids thought a good evening's entertainment was to torch a stolen car then lob bricks at the fire brigade when they came to put the fire out.)
It was so bad the BBC made a documentary about it. I recognised several of the little fuckers who terrorised the neighbourhood, despite the face fuzzing.
Bizarrely, when I finally made good my escape, one of the aforementioned little fuckers actually helped me load my furniture into the van - when you got them on their own, away from their mates, they could be almost normal.
