The Jewish "tribe" is not merely a religion, but also doesn't fit neatly into most ethnic categories. For practical purposes, I personally think it makes sense to treat them as BOTH a religion and a race/ethnicity at the same time.
Worldwide, Jewry works similar to an international criminal organization connected by blood (like a Mafia), also by culture, but also willing to be adaptable to its temporary interests (hence converts and strategic intermarriage).
Jews are shapeshifters, and they will pretend to be, and work and speak on behalf, of other groups to their further their goals, while in reality their loyalty is to Jewry, and nothing else.
The Chinese are lucky the vast majority of Jews can't pretend to be one of them (for now, at least).
