I just have to give a shout out for the Merlin Bird ID app (
https://merlin.allaboutbirds.org/). While it seems to want to detect Bitterns in the strangest places sometimes (like at the top of a wooded hill, surrounded by forest), it is so useful to find out what's singing in the trees around you - and it's *usually* pretty accurate.
I'm learning to distinguish a Goldcrest from a European Robin, and a Green Woodpecker from a Chiffchaff just by their songs...
