I think for a nostr note explorer its fine, but using both everywhere is the thing thats confusing, and we have good reasons for not using opaque hex for private keys, pubkeys and noteids all at the same time. Even I posted my hex secret key by accident in a note thinking it was my pubkey. This is what caused me to start the bech32 spec.
