So if you use cake with their nodes you lose the privacy you're assuming you gained with Monero. Am I wrong?
Cake does a ton of API calls to external services so I assume you deactivated all these options (that are ON by default).
With regards to LN on monero, I don't know really well the tech behind monero. I think that all the altcoins (excluded Litecoin) are living off the idea that "LN does not work, so we are not going to use it"...I don't think it would be a good marketing idea to do LN on the altcoins, because that means surrending to the obvious fact that LN is a good idea and scaling a global consensus blockchain is not. I don't think all of you (as a community) are willing to admit it.
