A reflection from CJR on the Indymedia movement, in light of its upcoming 25th anniversary. It seems like past anniversaries have gone relatively unobserved, which is a shame given how many digital media innovations we take for granted today – like open publishing and the timeline – grew from Indymedia's roots. I wasn't there for the Battle in Seattle, but was one co-founder of the last standing IMC in Urbana, IL cited in the article.
