You start out realizing that you plan to vote different ways on a particular ballot proposition and end up at "Aah, we disagree about the likely causes of the data in the Minneapolis-St-Paul case study and that interpretation underpins our divergent expectations about which policy intervention is most likely to lead to the array of policy outcomes we both generally prefer." and then you go play Mario Kart. And I think that's beautiful.
