Hence, it’s not the book itself that is dangerous, but the manner of distribution. For example, a book on “how to build a nuclear bomb” might not belong in the public library. Yet such a book still has merit to exist.
Would a copy of the Kama Sutra be appropriate in an elementary school library? Perhaps or perhaps not. But if a 16-year-old is able to make legal decisions about their sexual activities, then shouldn’t they be able to access such knowledge? 2/3
