Mario 64 basically revolutionized 3D platform games
Goldeneye 007 was basically Deus Ex three years before Deus Ex released
Super Smash Bros and Mario Party were peak multiplayer fun
Both Zelda games were also revolutionary at their time in terms of adventure games
All of those games were greatly influential to games that came after, and I can say without any doubt that the game landscape wouldn't be the same without the N64.
The only thing I get salty about is that while Nintendo released a flawed system with some neat ideas (because yes, the N64 was a flawed system) and it was still a success and kept the company going, Sega released an awesome but flawed system with some very neat ideas and it wasn't a success and spelt the end of Sega as a console maker and then Microsoft wore it's corpse in a crude and disrespectful mockery of it.
