My only real Simple Minds anecdote is that in 1991 I was living in Moss Side, just one street away from what was then the Man City stadium, Maine Road, and we used to sit in our backyard on summer evenings and listen to whatever stadium rock band was playing there.

And Simple Minds was an absolutely belter of a gig, even from outside the stadium, and we got very drunk and then went to the pub to get drunker.

I didn't meet anyone from Simple Minds. It's not really a very anecdote.
