While I agree NCMEC is problematic, looking into Prostasia it also seems so. I believe pedophila to be much less likely in LGBTQ circles and much more likely in repressive religious and conservative communities. But Prostasia’s approach seems to normalize pedophelia, rather calling it minor attracted people. To me this approach is problematic and not likely to gain traction. I suppose they believe giving them an outlet other than actual children will solve the problem? I don’t think that’s it, focus needs to be on the trauma and abuse that typically causes the behavior. Either way people still need to be accountable for the harm they do. But hey I’m not an expert, my 2¢.
