there’s no more more public, high-trust digital networks of friends and family to hijack and subvert with shitposting. it’s all blown up, everything is a shitpost, and no one believes anything. there’s definitely a way you could use social networks to spread messages, but I don’t think 2016-style “memes” is really it.
