You're saying that people were always trans and gay, as if the present understanding of sexuality was also the same in the past, but now we have the technology to enable people to do what they want. But trans didn't exist in the past and neither did gayness. The Roman understanding of sexuality is not the modern Western notion of sexuality, which is what is called presentism. You have your modern notions and you're ahistorically putting them into the past as if they were universal. Not only that, but you're lumping sexuality, crossdressing, and invasive surgery together. Chopping off is a shorthand for an extremely invasive, mutilative surgery. And it does not give you functional genitalia, all it does is give you non-functional mutilated genitalia that looks like that of the opposite sex. Just because you can doesn't mean you should and we live in a society. I don't think doctors should cut off someone's arm because the patient is a loony, I also don't think they should do "sex change operations" because the patient is a loony.
