Morgan knows he's artificial and that he was made to be a weapon, but he's doing the best he can to be a man. That means cultivating empathy, or at least patience with other people and curiosity about their viewpoint.
Naomi is determined to not be wholly her father's daughter. Bit of a tall order when your dad's a dark lord who wears white, already rules the world, and is determined to "save" it.
