If I close your issue because there isn't much I can do about it within the particular project, that doesn't mean you shouldn't go do research to find out which project is the right place where the bug is. It just means that I know that *this* project is not it.

I'm an engineer, but I'm not *your* engineer. It takes a lot of time to do that work that frankly, I don't have.

If that bothers you, it might be that you feel entitled to free support, which is in fact a different thing.
