I watched the previous attack on two girls. It looked like the second girl who yelled at him after he knocked her friend to the ground had some self defense training. She knew how to stand and use her legs for balance, defense and how to get back up quickly. It looks like it may be necessary to teach all young women who are forced into the public school system self defense. That boy could have killed either one of them, by snapping the girl's necks or chocking them out and bashing them to death. A teacher has written a letter warning that something much more serious will happen if schools don't go back to zero tolerance and abandon this twisted version of "restorative justice" the misappropriated from Indigenous peoples. If a boy disrespected the life bringer in my culture, he would be left with a flint and knife on an island for a year. If he survived, he could ask to be let back into the communtiy and the elders would most likely decide if he could return. THAT is restorative justice. He needs to be made to see that he is dependent on his community for his life, not that he's allowed to assert his will and lust for dominance over the life bringers.
