What veneration of minimalism?
Why not have cables neatly & visibly tied up in various places, fetishes & various cute little objects livening up the space? (Yet keeping the walkway clear, one must always be able to quickly & efficiently grab the bug-out bag and act upon its name.)
Not owning too much physical stuff is just a matter of not regretting it when one has to leave it behind. It's not virtuous nor even aesthetic on its own, just a matter of pragmatism.
