This is a strange rebuttal. Sanewashing is obviously a problem. It is what happens when a standard news practice (reporting with an expectation of minimal candidate coherence) is applied to something it was not made for (Trump ramblings). We've all seen it. Farhi's objection seems to be ... this doesn't happen all the time, so is not an issue, or, it's being exaggerated? Possible, but better to focus on a problem than to dismiss it
