Asking valid questions that aren't overtly sympathetic with the ideologies common of mastodon users will make you feel ostracized quickly. Even if you do agree with the people on 99.9% of things, asking something that even vaguely suggests you disagree leads to either mockery, conversation being shut down completely, or being called a bigot. Its like conversation isn't possible unless you are patting each other on the back these days. Asking hard questions is important.
