You are not your customer. Imposing something that you imagine your customer wants is a kind of bullying. IME, it's best for changes to come about through customer collaboration, not forcing your ideas on them. After collaborating on the initial idea, build it and release the change to a small number of users as an experiment, get feedback, and adjust. I don't know how often I've heard somebody say, "The customers will _love_ this!" They didn't.
