Even though I still discuss things with designers I trust, it’s harder to get that kind of—well, I don’t want to say consensus, but—general direction that everyone wanted to aim for. Everyone is so siloed at their own companies and if they’re permitted to share anything, it’s as part of a public relations effort, in a very formalized way. Companies don’t understand the value of collaboration across the entire industry, because they see it as a risk. That’s such a shame.
