I love that Warren Mosler spent his career trying to tell people that the economy isn’t real and the government prints everything and then academia deemed him the father of MMT. I feel to this day a lot of people missed the boat (figuratively) on what he was trying to say in his speeches. Endowments used his research as an excuse to use more leverage. Meanwhile Warren proceeds to leave finance and design a catamaran named “Knot My Problem” that traveled faster, farther, and more fuel efficient than most other models. He then turned that catamaran into a ferry to haul passengers from St. Croix to St. Thomas.
