"content": "It depends on what you want to do. I have 3 old/cheap desktop class boxes running Proxmox. I like to host my own stuff…literally. So I run my services in LXC containers.…including this Fedi instance. it runs really well. The container is basically hidden from me….I just login like i’s yet another Linux box. I also host a couple of blogs, my own password manager, media server, etc., all behind an nginx reverse proxy running … in an LXC container. I use them like really lightweight VMs. Probably not the typical use case but it works for me. \n\nBut if you aren’t doing stuff like that I can see why you may not like them or need them.",
