People came and had trad east end pie \u0026 mash (and eels, for the brave/foolhardy) and listened to 3 short talks about food in east end history. I talked about the wartime suffragette cost price restaurant (it was part of a suffragette-themed festival I organised) then IIRC there was a talk about oysters, and another about curry and the Bengali community!",
