I very much doubt there were any claims any of those would lead to the world ending. (If we assume the term means a catastrophic decline in human living standards and perhaps life in general.) We responded to them though, which improved things. Good luck with halting sea-level rise before 2050 though, for just one example of the effects of climate change.
