As we head into hiring season, I'm thinking about how we might be able to address/adapt the custom of taking a candidate to dinner in the age of COVID.

A lot of people still aren't comfortable eating in restaurants. But they may be hesitant to say so for fear of looking unfriendly or uninterested.

How are other hiring committees addressing this issue (if at all)?
