Ok I finished reading Hyperion (the first book).

It was .. ok I guess. Simmons is getting himself lost in the scenery quite a bit and this feels like a bunch of reasonably entertaining short stories with not much to tie everything together at the end.

Is it worth reading the rest of the series?
