Electricians don't put up Xmas lights, but good try. Most service calls that I do are due to troubleshooting, adding circuits for new equipment, and replacing lights, switches and receptacles. At my day job, yes most everything does require permits because I mostly do work for the government, doesn't make me enjoy it any less.
