It's not just NRL, this happens across a lot of sports in a lot of countries. You'd think people would have phased such behaviour out of their system 20-30 years ago.
And the people who did it are probably reading these articles going "Wow, I wonder who that was? Certainly wasn't me, *I*'m not racist!"
